The Fender Bass VI has long been a secret weapon for those brave enough to embrace it! Initially in production from 1961-1975, the Bass VI has something of a cult following now, Squier have taken this iconic design and breathed new life into it!
Like a standard guitar, the Bass VI is tuned E-e, unlike a standard guitar though it sits a whole octave down, deep, resonant and deliciously cutting. It really does open up a whole new world of tonal possibilities, this is more than just a bass, it’s an incredible tool for creating beautiful chord/melody passages and adding texture to your sound.
The Classic Vibe features a Poplar body which is lightweight and finely balanced, with a slick Black finish it’s a classic Fender look.
The Maple neck features a Laurel fingerboard, modern C profile, 30″ scale length, 9.5″ radius and 21 narrow tall frets. It’s real comfortable and poised, whether you are playing huge chords or slick bass lines, this guitar can deliver.
With a trio of Fender designed Squier Alnico single coil pickups, you get smooth and really detailed tone. Equipped with a vintage style floating vibrato, the Classic Vibe Bass VI is a great addition to the Squier line; it’s a real players favourite.
