Originally launched in 1961 as a temporary replacement for the single cutaway Les Paul, the SG gained favour with rock and blues players who were impressed by its innovative design. Now, the Gibson SG Standard represents a great mix of early ’60s vision with contemporary versatility and feel.

A classic all Mahogany body finished in a gorgeous Ebony gives this guitar that beautiful vintage Gibson look while a Mahogany neck and Rosewood fingerboard, with its fast and comfortable long tenon, rounded profile, enhance the rich tone.

Classic Gibson tones come courtesy of a pair of 490R and 490T humbuckers. With a really unique sonic character it is versatile, dynamic and offers crystal clear note definition. It’s a great example of timeless design.
