The Fender Classic Series ’50s Esquire boasts a neck crafted from sturdy maple, finished with a glossy urethane coating that enhances both its durability and aesthetic appeal. Shaped in a comfortable “C” shape, the neck is designed for effortless playability. The fingerboard, also made of maple, features a vintage-inspired 7.25″ radius and hosts 21 frets, making it perfect for classic-style guitarists.
A synthetic bone nut ensures precise string spacing and resonance. The body, constructed from ash, showcases a polyester finish, providing resilience to the wear and tear of performances. The bridge is a 3-saddle vintage-style design with strings-through-body construction, featuring chrome barrel saddles for tuning stability.
Vintage-style tuning machines keep your strings in tune, even during extended jam sessions. The Esquire is equipped with a vintage-style single-coil Telecaster bridge pickup, delivering that timeless tone. Its controls include a master volume and master tone knob, offering flexibility in sound shaping.
Notably, the Esquire features a custom-wired 3-position blade switch: In position 1, the volume control operates independently, providing a darker tone when a capacitor is activated. In position 2, you have normal volume and tone control, while position 3 offers volume control only. This guitar is a tribute to the iconic ’50s Esquire, embodying its classic design and tonal characteristics.
Please Note: This guitar is Pre-Owned but is in Good condition. Unfortunately it has a chip on the body by the neck pocket, some light scratching on the body top and pickgaurd, and a small shallow dent on the back of the body. It also has a small dent on the back of the neck behind the 12th fret. This is otherwise a great playing guitar with a unique and unusual design with some cool electronics! Hardcase included.
