What sets this amp apart is its ability to deliver an authentic class A experience. You have the choice to operate the single EL84 output section in Pentode or Triode mode. In Pentode mode, you’ll revel in the signature MAZ 18 chimey top end and rich low end, but at a significantly more manageable volume. This mode offers ample dynamic range, catering to everything from clean country picking to gritty riff rock. For those seeking even more, the footswitchable EQ bypass function provides a gain boost for searing leads with seemingly endless sustain. Switching to triode mode, the MAZ 8 takes on a vintage character. The volume steps back, while the tone fattens up, transporting you back to the golden era of 1950s tone. Engaging the EQ bypass in triode mode invites you to slide into bluesy realms effortlessly.

The front panel of the MAZ 8 is a straightforward control hub, featuring Volume, Treble, Middle, Bass, Reverb, Master, and the versatile cut control, which acts as a tone knob for the output section. On the back panel, you’ll find a 4, 8, and 16-ohm speaker out, an effects loop, and EQ bypass, all standard. Additionally, the back panel hosts the indispensable pentode/triode switch, allowing you to tailor your tone precisely to your liking.

Please Note: This amp is Pre-Owned and is in Fair condition. It has various scuffs in the tolex and on the metal corners and came to us rather dirty – although we have done our best to clean it up.
