Cordoba Luthier C10 Spruce | Natural

The Luthier series is a high-end range of instruments that Cordoba offer.  Here at Peach we are proud to not only stock all the currently offered Luthier models but to also photograph each one individually so that the exact guitar you’re browsing is the one that will be dispatched to you.  Every model in the series is all-solid and all of the common nylon-guitar configurations are present.

The C10 Spruce is made by hand in a boutique and small workshop and features solid rosewood back and sides.  It is a concert-level instrument that features the best of modern and traditional guitar construction.  The top on this beautiful classical guitar is a classic choice – solid spruce and fan-braced.  This style of bracing (pioneered on classical guitars by Antonio de Torres Jurado) gives a far superior bass response and dynamics when compared to a ladder-braced classical.  The neck is made of cedar and is joined to the body using the Spanish heel method – another Torres invention.  This is a more time-consuming method of construction where the guitar is built around the beck as opposed to simply being added on.  This gives a strong and sturdy construction and makes the body and neck one cohesive piece which clearly has a positive effect on the resonance of the instrument.

This particular instrument has a nut width of 52mm, a C-shaped neck with a flat fingerboard and 12 frets to the body.  Clearly this guitar is designed for the more traditional and experienced classical player and as such makes for an excellent all-solid classical at a great price.

The guitar is fitted with a two-way truss rod so that the neck can be adjusted over time, if needed or desired.  It ships with a high-quality set of Savarez strings and a polyfoam case that offers excellent protection whilst still being very light.  Extra touches of beauty are added in the form of a pearloid 1920s style rosette and a high-gloss finish.
