Cordoba Iberia C5-CE Spruce | Electro – Natural

The Cordoba Iberia series allows an affordable entry into the Cordoba world.  The C5 is one of their most popular models due to the fact that it is an excellent classical guitar, consistently made and with great tone, looks and playability.  In fact, it is such a successful model that they offer it in many different versions.  Here at Peach we are proud to stock all of the currently available C5 variations.

For a student, a guitar that is hard to play or won’t stay in tune can easily put them off for life.  Even though this is one of the more entry-level guitars from Cordoba, it still provides access to their expertise in design and build.  This results in a guitar that will help a student excel.

The top of the guitar is made from solid spruce and is complimented with mahogany back and sides.  This is a classic choice for nylon-strung guitars and with good reason – it sounds great!  The top is fan braced; this style of bracing (pioneered on classical guitars by Antonio de Torres Jurado) gives a far superior bass response and dynamics when compared to a ladder-braced classical.

Amazingly for the price point, the guitar is handmade and even the wooden rosette is hand-inlaid.  The guitar comes strung with a high quality Savarez set and pearl buttons on the tuners complete the elegant look.

The body is protected and looks great thanks to its gloss finish.  The nut and saddle are bone and the guitar features a dual action truss rod so that the neck can be regulated as needed or desired.

This version adds a cutaway for a more contemporary look and also to give easier access to the higher frets.  The guitar also features a Fishman Presys II pickup system.  Fishman are experts in getting the sound of the guitar captured as best as possible at each price point.  Plugging the guitar in will enable the player to not only amplifier themselves but also add effects to their performance.
